Southern Hospitality Open Horse Show

Southern Hospitality Open Horse Show at High View Farm, 640 Anderson Rd., Wagener, SC. Halter, In-Hand, Western, Hunt Seat, Over Fences, and Games. Circuit awards for each discipline to be given at the last show of the season. Show begins at 9:30 am. Everyone is welcome!

Berlin Baptist Church is holding many community wide activities including contadas, plays, and caroling:

Wed, 12/14:  Children's Christmas Play, "A Shepherd's Story" begins at 7 pm.

Sun, 12/25:  Christmas Contada begins at 9:30 am

Sat, 12/31:  8th Annual "New Year's Eve Bash," feat. the musical group, "Exalting Him."  Starts at 7 pm; fireworks show afterwards

"Parent's Day Off" at Warner Park

Dinner will be served from 1 to 8 pm.  Santa will be there from 7 to 8.  Kids can make gifts for their parents, eat pizza, play games.  Cost is $10 form the whole night or $3 just to see Santa.  It is preferred to sign up in advance, although you are welcome to come without signing up.

There will be a Christmas puppet show called "Santa's Reindeer!" for the children at the Nancy Bonette Library on Dec 14 at 3 pm.  Kids will be able to do a Christmas Craft after the show.

The youth fall soccer league started on Sept. 20.  Game nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 pm.  The last game is on Nov 17.

Call for Medicaid Changes

President Bush told governors of the 50 states that he will work with them to make important changes to Medicaid, the federal health care program for the poor. State leaders have said proposed cuts in the federal budget will cause severe problems at home.
