In a landslide victory, Kevin Young gets 100 votes to become Wagener's new Mayor over incumbant Michael Miller, 40 votes, and Joyce Jeffcoat Derr, 26 votes.
Mildred Schofield gets a council seat with 127 votes and Patricia Middleton gets the other council seat with 92 votes. Incumbent Randy Kitchings steps down with 58 votes.
The Town of Wagener thanks Michael Miller and Randy Kitchings for many years of dedicated service.
Here at the Wagener FD we have displayed a memorial to remember those who have came before us and also as a sobering reminder that the job that we do can be dangerous. But also to remember that we have a duty to our citizens to protect and be there in their time of need. If any friends and family would like to donate momentos to the case we will be glad to add it as a keep sake for all that walk through our doors for years to come.
