The Little Bake Shoppe Grand Opening

After nearly ten months of building renovations and years of business planning, JoAnna and Jerald Hoover fulfilled a life-long dream: opening a bakery. The Little Bake Shoppe opened at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 135 Main Street N, Wagener. Also working hard on opening day, but not pictured, are Callie and Gabrielle Hoover, continuing Wagener's historic tradition of family-operated businesses.
Jerald and JoAnna Hoover moved their family to our area from the Lancaster, PA area in October 2009 with the single goal of opening an adorable bakery in an adorable town (OK, "adorable" is my word, not theirs) to spread home made goodness in a warm, cozy, Christian atmosphere where you can relax with coffee and a pastry. JoAnna grew up watching her mom bake and run a home-based business in Pennsylvania. JoAnna was tutored in an atmosphere where learning new things and meeting new people every day was exciting and she brings that same love and excitement to Wagener. Jerald and JoAnna's mission is to make people smile and feel good about each day, a gift from God.
The Hoover name isn't foreign to Wagener; Jerald's brother Scott Hoover has been doing business in Wagener for a couple of decades. Hoover's Flooring has a long list of happy customers all across our region.
The Little Bake Shoppe is open Tues - Sat, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm. Please order special occasion cakes 3 days in advance. The bakery serves hot and cold beverages, a large variety of pastries in single portion or take home family size. Pumpkin rolls, cinnamon rolls, fritters, cakes, cookies, three types of homemade bread and soft-serve ice-cream.
