Over 700 people came out on a rainy Saturday morning to join the Town of Wagener, the Wagener Garden Club & the Wagener Downtown Development Committee for the dedication ceremony of the Blue Star Marker Veterans/Heroes' Memorial Monument. The monument was placed next to the new Pavilion, downtown Wagener on Saturday May 23. The dedication included live music featuring 282 D Army Band from Fort Jackson and a vocal performance by Edisto Singers. A scheduled flyover by fighter jets from Shaw Air Force Base had to be cancelled due to the low cloud cover. Click here to see more photos.
