Rockeybell Adatura, Ghana Africa, Speaks in Local Churches

Rockeybell Adatura, a native of Ghana, Africa, spoke in area churches during the month of May, 2010.   Adatura, a former Muslim and former boxer, currently leads workshops that address issues about the various sects of Islam, the Islamic oppression of women, contrast of Islam vs. Christianity, and our nation's presence in Iraq, Juwait, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.  The speaking schedule was as follows:  May 16, Saron Baptist Church.  May 19, Gateway (formerly Chapel of Love).  May 23, Harvest of Love.  June 6, Oak Grove Baptist.

Additions at the Courtney Senior Center

The Courtney Senior Center has been going strong now for a few years.  Third and Fifth Friday Bingos and Wednesday Canasta days are regular activities.  The Courtney Center is pleased to bring back Scrapbooking.  Scrapbooking will be held on Tuesdays at 1pm.  Bring a scrapbook and some pictures, we'll get you going from there.

Also, the Courtney Senior Center is pleased to announce wireless internet service.  Bring your laptop and come visit, we provide a quiet place to connect to the internet and we'll even help you if you need assistance.

Another addition we are pleased to provide is our Wii.  Come by any afternoon and play our wii games, we'd love to have you!

Harvest of Love Annual Give Away

Saturday, April 10, 2010, Harvest of Love hosted their annual GiveAway at the Wagener Pavilion. There was free food & drinks, free hair styling & hair cuts, free clothing, free car washes, free gas, door prizes, and free cash -- $100 every 30 mins. Live entertainment, too.  The town was packed, it was great to see so many people come out and participate.
