Awana to Resume at Mount Hermon Baptist Church

The Awana Club for children will resume at Mount Hermon Baptist Church in early September.  This is an excellent Christian program for children to learn scripture and also participate in physical activity with games and competitions.  Awana at Mount Hermon is offered for students in grades K5 - Middle School.  Children are divided into groups by age.  Handbooks provide Bible curriculum and activities.  As a club, Awana is organized as to teach children about dues, uniforms, badges, award recognition and healthy competition.   Awana is offered at a variety of churches in America.  To learn more about this ministry or to find an Awana Club near you, visit Awana.org.

Missionaries to Honduras To Speak at FBC

Lois and Paul Howell are missionaries to Honduras living in the second largest city in Honduras.  They have been missionaries for thirty years and in Honduras for 16 of those years, serving through Baptist Mid-Missions.  They will be speaking at First Baptist Church on September 13 at 10:15 a.m.  Please attend the service if you would like to hear about the work being done in Honduras.

The Howells will also be speaking at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Springfield on Sunday, September 20, 2015.
