Baughmanville Baptist Church celebrated their 109th anniversary on May 23, 2010. Rev. Odell Burns from Evergreen Baptist Church in Anderson was the guest speaker. The church family and guests enjoyed a fellowship after the 3pm anniversary service. Rev. Otis Kitchings is the pastor at Baughmanville and will celebrate his 5th anniversary at the church in October, 2010. Congratulations, Baughmanville, the church has been a blessing to our community.

On May 20, 2010, WRDW News 12 recognized Wagener for its technological advances and overall support of local businesses. "It's a small town of only 863, but this small town is bringing in some big city changes."
